This past weekend, members of PCG Education’s team had the opportunity to travel to Dallas, TX and attend the Dallas ISD STEM Expo. All day Saturday, students stopped by PCG Education’s booth to get engaged with activity-based learning.
Students rocked it and rolled it by participating in two activities that are often implemented in PCG’s EPIC summer camps and afterschools programs -- Pop Rockets and Marble Run. In attendance were Chad Gilbert, Tamu Thomas Walker, Bruce Douglas, and Sabrina Hall-Nwansi (Remote).
Program Coordinator, Sabrina, says her experience at the STEM Expo was a “blast!”
“I helped many students build a rocket, as well as launch them. I particularly enjoyed the countdown – ‘5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!!’ This excited and amazed the students when their rocket flew in the air. I enjoyed the large grin on their faces. Each moment made my day.”
