PCG Cares: Hurricane Florence & Hurricane Michael

In September of this year, the powerful Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas and Virginia, causing severe damage. Shortly after, in October, Hurricane Michael hit the southeastern part of the United States. At least 60 deaths had been attributed to the storm, including 45 in the United States and 15 in Central America. Hurricane Michael has been ranked as one of the four most powerful hurricanes ever to strike the US. It traveled into Georgia and then on into the Carolinas and Virginia, where they were still recovering from Hurricane Florence.

By October 31st, PCG staff raised a combined $68,799 for Hurricane Florence & Hurricane Michael relief. Individuals donated to organizations such as American Red Cross, Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, and Americares. The generous donations helped to provide food, hot meals, safe shelters, clean water, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies to thousands affected by the hurricane.

Thank you to the many individuals of PCG staff who gave back to the victims of Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael through the PCG Cares initiative.
